If you are thinking about finding out how to play the piano and you are a novice listen up. What I’m going to share with you’ll have you actively playing the piano in no time at all.

First off, forget about note reading. Forget about sheet audio and attempting to perform Bach or Beethoven. Even though all of these have their place in piano lessons for beginners, it’s not what I’m planning to educate you. I promised you a new technique and that’s exactly what this content will deliver.

Take a look at my totally free piano lesson “Reflections in Water,” (available by clicking below.) The first factor you probably will observe could be the title followed by what this lesson will train you to perform – namely using open position chords inside the Important of C major to produce a calm, relaxed atmosphere.

Observe anything at all right here? This piano lesson basically appears like an artwork lesson doesn’t it! It is entirely various since it will take you step by step via the process of truly creating your personal music.

Right after you observe the title and also the description on the lesson, you might also detect a small paragraph of text to the left that reads “materials used.” Yet again, like an craft lesson, you see precisely what you’ll be making use of to generate with. At the starting of most art work lessons, the author introduces you towards the supplies and methods you will be employing to entire a completed painting. That is exactly what I do with piano instruction.

And my students adore it. It gets them playing piano almost correct away. Plus, it allows them to create music with contemporary sounding chords as opposed to the usual dull triads.

Note studying isn’t needed for this approach. Just a little information of chords. For that lesson “Reflections in H2o,” you will see 4 chords and also the keyboard diagrams they are laid out on. Once you get the feel for your available position chord, you’ll love it and wish to play the piano with enthusiasm. Why? Simply because it’s enjoyable! And it is easy.

And if that wasn’t sufficient to obtain you motivated, you’ll find also audio samples that let you hear how an additional pianist plays it.

Piano lessons for beginners do not need to be the exact same old dull factor most of us have come to know. They can actually be fun AND creative!

Learning blues guitar takes good instruction and practice, but not just any practice. Learning to be a good blues player is as much about feel as skill so it’s important you play with other musicians when you can and as often as you can.

While few of us have full bands to practice with often a good alternative is to download or buy some blues guitar jam tracks.

What are Backing Tracks

Backing tracks, sometimes called jam tracks, are professionally recorded arrangements of a 12 bar blues pattern in a particular key. Often these tracks include bass, drums, guitar and maybe even piano. The tracks will often last much longer then a regular song to provide you with lots of time to jam along with.

Secret Weapon to Great Riffs and Licks

Blues backing tracks have been the secret of many great blues guitarists over the past few years. By offering you an environment to practice in similar to a full band you can really get into the feel of the blues. Practicing often with these backing tracks will help you feel more comfortable when playing live with other musicians.

Where to Find Backing Tracks

Thanks to the web there are tons of great free and paid blues backing tracks. You can find bundles of tracks for a good price compared to buying one or two at a time.

The key is to practice and do it often. Be sure you practice in different keys and to different styles of blues jam tracks as well. If you’re consistently use these tracks you’ll find your lead playing will improve by leaps and bounds and your confidence to jam with others will grow as well.

If you’re still getting started with the blues then backing tracks may not be all you need. A quality blues guitar lesson dvd or taking some online blues guitar lessons can sharpen your skills and teach you the essentials you need to start creating your own licks and riffs.

Jingles have long been an integral part of radio advertising and radio commercials.

Those versed in reading music will see that the range of radio jingles from the 1960s and 1970s is quite wide, with the soprano usually ending up on C above middle C and the bass singer usually as low as the F at the bottom of the bass clef. That’s a spread of two-and-a-half octaves.

Jingle lyrics often were designed with a “thinner” first portion, in which the slogan frequently was sung, followed by the big, full-spread chords for the radio station call letters. This often is the case today.

The “all-male” sound was clustered more tightly and often didn’t have a real bass line. In these cases, the root of the chord or bass notes were taken by the bass guitar or sometimes a bass trombone or baritone sax. With the male lead often singing in the falsetto range, on a C above middle C, packages such as PAMS Series 31 had a sharp edge to the vocals.

Occasionally the extreme ranges of the human voice were explored in jingles. I often have heard Jim Clancy sing C below the bass clef; and believe me, in that range you just hear a rumble. I have heard Gleni Rutherford sing an octave above the top of the treble clef, which is up in the range that dogs can hear. By using unusual voicings such as these, they created effects that could cut through the radio clutter.

In some cases, less is more. Three males sang the same note, in unison, in the same octave, in PAMS Series 27.

Another trick most of the studios used, and still use today, is “stacking.” In this technique, the vocal group sings its parts, then sings them again on an additional track to add depth to the sound. (It also helps correct for any minor pitch problems on either track.)

These separate tracks can be mixed to mono or panned slightly in stereo in the final mix. PAMS was hyping this process as early as 1960 as “dual channel sound on sound, multiple recording.”

Contemporary vocals are handled a bit differently. Often, everyone in the five-voice group sings a high unison melody line. That is stacked, and then subsequent tracks have multiple layers of harmony added to them. In these cases, harmony notes can be made both above and below the melody.

Rarely is there a true bass part in most contemporary hit radio or even adult contemporary jingle packages anymore. For power, high male solos often are used while female vocals are much less gentle than in previous generations.

You knew that older jingles sounded different. Now at least some of the reasons have been revealed.
