It is easy and fun to perform magic card tricks with just a little practice beforehand. Amaze your audience with tricks all you need is a little practice. It is so fun dazzling your friends and card tricks are even easy for children to perform. The name of this trick is the ‘Quick Find’ it is a well known trick.

Preparation:

Four cards need to be removed from the deck of cards prior to commencing the trick. Do the trick with a deck of 52 cards, that is a standard poker deck of cards. Remove the red nines and the red sixes. The six of diamonds and hearts and the nine of diamond and hearts are the cards you should have taken out. The six of hearts needs to go at the bottom of the deck and also the nine of diamonds needs to go at the top of the deck. Make sure the cards are facing down. Take the nine of hearts and six of diamonds out.

To begin the trick:

Hold the deck of cards in your left hand and show your audience the nine of hearts and the six of diamonds by laying them face up on the table. The six of diamonds and nine of hearts needs to be put back into the deck, so ask an audience member to do it. They will shove the cards into the deck.

The end of the trick:

{Holding the deck of cards in your left hand {or the right depending on which is more comfortable} , squeeze the top card and the bottom card together and toss the deck into your other hand.~Now with grace hold the deck in which ever hand is the most comfortable to you, put the deck into your other hand while squashing the top and bottom card together.~The deck will be moved from one hand to the other so begin with it in the most comfortable hand for you and with discretion as the deck moves to your other hand squish the top and bottom card together.} This leaves the top card and the bottom card so you can reveal them showing that you have found the cards.

The audience almost never notices that you have showed them the nine of diamonds instead of the six of diamonds and the six of hearts instead of the nine of hearts. To succeed in pulling off the ‘Quick Find’ trick you will need to act quick and gracefully.

An alternative version of the ‘Quick Find’ trick:

Only one piece of important detail makes this trick different than the last. Rather than use the similar colored cards from the same deck in this version you will take an identical deck and steal the exact same cards putting them in the deck in your hand. One goes on the top and one goes on the bottom of the deck again all face down.

In this version you can use any two cards. You might use the six of clubs and the nine of diamonds. Reveal the six of clubs and nine of diamonds to the audience and then add them to your deck, just like you did before. The cards have to be put from the table back into the deck randomly by the audience. You might fan the deck out for them to place the cards and push them into the deck. Be sure not to show the face up side. Amazingly the audience will end up with exactly the cards they chose after you have squeezed the deck and gotten the top and bottom cards.
